Sea Shepherd and Plastic Free July Beach Clean Up
This is your chance to make a difference!
With the toxic tide of plastic pollution devastating our oceans and killing our marine-life worldwide, Sea Shepherd Australia’s Marine Debris Campaign is standing with the Plastic Free July initiative yet again this year.
Plastic Free July is an annual global campaign which aims to create awareness of the environmental problems associated with plastics, in particular single-use plastic products.
50% of all plastic produced annually 300 million tonnes is made into single use products with a large proportion of those finding their way into our waterways.
You can help protect our beaches, oceans, wildlife and planet by joining us on Sunday July 9th as Perth’s Marine Debris team and Plastic Free July join forces to conduct a clean-up at Cottesloe Beach.
Before the commencement of the clean-up we will have an introduction by Plastic Free Julys Founder Rebecca Ruiz Prince.
Thanks to the guys at Coastal Crunch there will be breakfast muesli available for early comers. If you’d like to partake in this delicious offer then please bring along your own utensils, bowl/mug.
